2023 Tax Forms Now Available for Download in Online Banking

 

Tax season is here, and we’re pleased to announce you can now access your 2023 tax documents conveniently through Online Banking. Starting this month, eligible forms are ready for download, making tax preparation easier than ever.

Here’s what you need to know:

  • The 2023 tax forms are currently accessible only through our consumer online banking platform.
  • You’ll only see a form available for download if one was generated for you.
  • Tax forms are only produced for the Primary/Tax name on the account.
  • Among the forms available are 1042-S, 1098, 1099-INT, 1099-MISC, 1099-R, 1099-SA, 5498 and 5498-SA.
  • All account-related 2023 tax documents will also be mailed to you.

To access your tax documents:

1. Visit opportunitybank.com.
2. Log in to your personal Online Banking account or enroll in personal Online Banking.
3. Select the account you wish to download documents for.
4. Click Documents.
5. In the document search, choose an account, the document type you’re looking for and the date range for the document. 1099 and 1098 will have a date range of 1/1/2024 – 2/5/2024.
6. In the document type dropdown, select the document you wish to view.

Q: What if I choose a document type and hit submit, and it returns “0 documents”?
A: That document may not have been produced for your SSN. If you believe that document should have been produced, please reach out to your local branch.

Q: Why can the other person on my account see the documents, but I can’t?
A: Tax documents can only be produced for a single SSN. Because of this, the documents are only available for the Primary/Tax Name on the account.

Q: Are all my Savings, Checking, and CD interest combined into a single 1099?
A: All deposit accounts with the same Primary Name/Tax Name are combined into a single 1099.

Q: When are 1098s produced?
A: This document is produced in January of each year.

Q: Why don’t I have a 1098?
A: A 1098 may not have been produced for your SSN. If you believe this document should have been produced, please reach out to your local branch.

Q: When are 1099s produced?
A: This document is produced in January of each year.

Q: Why don’t I have 1099?

Q: When are 5498s produced?
A: This document is produced in April each year.

Q: Can I see previous year’s tax documents?
A: Yes, if a document was produced for your SSN end-of-year forms within the last 999 days, it will be available online.

Q: Why can’t I see the tax documents for my business?
A: At this time only personal tax documents are available, but we understand the importance of providing comprehensive tools for managing both business and personal finances and we are actively working on enhancements to include business-related documents in the future.
